Do seeks to overcome the apathy and actually meet new year resolutions for your? Now there's a new social platform designed to get you off the couch and do the things of love or always wanted to try. And HeyKiki.com is called.
Official beta launch, HeyKiki.com will connect users with trusted local instructors and partners of practice in his neighborhood for a wide variety of activities, ranging from sports and fitness, languages, music, and a myriad of creative and performing arts.
"Until now, people looking to learn new activities, find partners for practice or participate in their favorite hobbies have had to search through a myriad of Google results, they scour Classifieds in the Craigslist or page on a phone list to find and connect with instructors of local activity or enthusiasts - without any information about your background or credentials," said Joe Vadakkekara, co-founder of HeyKiki. "This cozy approach has been the norm for years, but HeyKiki is trying to change that."
Through a centralized platform, HeyKiki uses crowd-sourcing to meet local instructors and students from diverse backgrounds to learn and teach any activity of interest, also allowing like-minded users connect with friends in practice in your neighborhood. HeyKiki allows users to customize searches based on the activities, the qualifications of students and reviews. Meanwhile, teachers can publish the classes in the HeyKiki directory for free and provide easy access to a specific audience of students themselves. In addition, HeyKiki has these instructors in their social media channels to expand your exposure.
"To begin a new year with new goals, is the perfect time for HeyKiki launch," said Vadakkekara. "Any person on the ground can ask for what you have always wanted to learn or an activity that they miss doing so and will have a response;" Boxing, jazz, language, acting…, there is something you have always wanted to master. "Heykiki helps you rediscover, practice and learn that 'something' all while reinvent yourself."
Tim Haft, founder of Punk, rope and innovative personal trainer has used HeyKiki to expand its brand of fitness alternative to users who want to get in shape in 2011. "HeyKiki is great way to advertise our classes to people looking for new ways to keep fit and have fun."
