Skiers can hone their skills in the known nationally Horst Locher ski school or enroll their children in programs SKIwee or Mini Rider. These programs serve children ages four to eight years of age. New Kids' area opening winter 2010 - this new section in Bryce includes brightly colored animals and a new carpet for smallest lift. Who want to learn the basics or want some intermediate skills improve winter sports enthusiasts can visit Massanutten Resort, a resort season four near of Harrisonburg. The resort is celebrating learn to ski and snowboard month in January with new station special aimed at a younger audience.
Massanutten also runs several special January 2011, including:
School days: on Wednesday and Friday from January 5 through March 4, 2011, students with a valid College ID that can receive a 8 hour pendiente-uso meeting ticket for $30 and rents for $20. Monday Night Madness: each Monday evenings from 4-9 p.m., January 3 until 28 February 2011, skiing or run Massanutten and contribute to a local charity. Pick up a coupon in the weekly local sponsor to receive a ticket use slope for $17, $17 rentals and lesson free beginner group. Special Out school: parents, teachers, students and staff attending school because of the inclement weather can spend 8 hours skiing or snowboarding in Massanutten at low prices on entries use the slope ($25) and rents for $20. Scout Days: Scout troops and family members can visit Massanutten for a day full of fun on the slopes in the Sunday, December 12, 2010 or on Sunday, March 6, 2011. Valid for 8 hours logged. Scout day package is only $45 and includes a ticket using the slope, rentals and a beginner one-hour group lesson.
Wintergreen Resort
Wintergreen Resort, located in Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains cuatro-temporada retreat is a beautiful hideaway less than two hours of Richmond and three hours from Washington, D.C. This winter Wintergreen Resort goes "kid-madman!"
New: "Shamokin Ice," an intimate, family-style track is added to the pleasures outdoors in the Wintergreen Resort this winter season. The new rink will be Blue Ridge in the village of mountain top of the mountains and offer skating 90-minute session.
Wintergreen has also announced a new series of skiing women's seminars for the 2011 season.
Friday four consecutive (21 January, 28 and 4 and 11 February) from 9 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m., Wintergreen will offer "Clinics of Ski & Ride" taught by instructors women resort and geared to women who are trying to improve the skiing and riding skills. Individual sessions are $99 or $350 for the four with lunch included packet type. Lift ticket and equipment rental not included.
